What grants are available?
The government is offering grants of £7,500 to help households install Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), with a total allocation of £675 million to cover 90,000 homes.
The grants for Air Source Heat Pumps will be available from October 2023. The scheme is likely to be oversubscribed, making it a first-come, first-served opportunity for households to secure the £7,500 grants. Those who can quickly meet the eligibility criteria will be more likely to receive the funding, making it essential for interested households to act promptly.
The government will offer £7,500 grants to property owners to install low-carbon heating systems, including heat pumps, through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS). These grants aim to alleviate the upfront cost of adopting low-carbon heating technologies, encouraging property owners to make the switch to more environmentally friendly options.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is being managed by OFGEM, and as a registered installer, we will apply for the £7,500 grant on behalf of the homeowner. We will assess eligibility and inform the homeowner if they qualify. As a Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) registered installer and Government-approved provider, we are authorised to issue the grant to our clients as long as all criteria are met.
Further information on the scheme can be found on the OFGEM website.
